Introduction into Espresso Fundamentals 26 January 2026

The Academy by Platō is hosting a 2 hour espresso workshop created for anyone who is curious, coffee obsessed, or simply keen to learn something new. Together, we will dive into the craft behind pulling a truly tasty shot of espresso, the very skill our baristas rely on every day behind the bar.

With a spotlight on espresso based drinks, you will learn the essential barista techniques for preparing and executing consistent extractions, while discovering why taste is the most powerful tool in mastering quality, a value at the heart of every Platō barista.

We will be using the same equipment you will find in a Platō store, keeping the experience fun, hands on, and authentic. Our expert coffee professional will show you how to apply what you learn so you can make café quality coffee at home.

And of course, bring a friend along for the ride.
