Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern the Platō Local Herō Campaign (“Competition”) run by Platō (“Organizer”). By participating in the Competition, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Eligibility

• The Competition is open to individuals aged 16 years or older.
• Participants must have a valid Instagram account.
• Employees of the Organizer and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
• Entrants must live within a 10km radius of their local Platō store.
• 50 ambassadors will be chosen to represent their local Platō.

3. Competition Period

The Competition begins on [4 October 2024] at [12:00 pm] and ends on [30 November 2024] at [23:00 pm] (the “Competition Period”).

4. How to Enter

• To enter, participants must:
• Fill out the entry form: https://yhukqafdt8z.typeform.com/to/kpEmRdCy
• Follow Platō
• Share their entry photos/videos by tagging Platō and using the hashtag #PlatōLocalHero
• Each participant may enter the Competition once

5. Winner Selection

• Winners will be selected based on the following criteria:
• Creativity
• Personality
• Ability to capture high quality images and videos
• Live within a 10km radius of their local Platō store
• The selection will take place over a two week period after the closing date (30 November 2024), and winners will be notified via email and phone.

6. Prizes

• The prize for the Competition are as follows: free Platō coffee for 1x a year, starting 15 January 2025. This will equate to a value of R1050 per month for 1x year.
• Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

7. Claiming Prizes

• Winners must respond to the notification within 7 working days to claim their prize.
• If a winner does not respond within the specified time, an alternate winner may be selected.

8. Publicity

By participating in the Competition, participants grant the Organizer permission to use their name, Instagram and TikTok handles, and submit content for promotional purposes.

9. Liability

• The Organizer is not responsible for any technical issues, including but not limited to, system errors, or failures, that may affect participation in the Competition.
• Participants enter the Competition at their own risk.

10. Disqualification

The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these terms or engages in fraudulent activities or those who submit offensive content.

11. General Terms

• The Organizer reserves the right to amend or cancel the Competition at any time without prior notice.
• These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa.
